Happy Labor's Day Yo! and here I am working my ass of with my character. :)) but wth, it's fun and I have nothing productive to do. 3 more days to go! =O


here, I'm starting to refine the anatomy of the base mesh, starting from defining the forms, and then gonna do some polishing after. Being a total noob in female sculpting kinda makes me slower to work, but this is the first step towards mastery. Gonna sculpt more female figures after this. :D

*the hand looks scary, but ive skipped on that since it has less priority. They wont be bare in the final sculpt anyway. :)

Sup Guys! I got a little side tracked because I had to attend an Art exhibit of my batch mates. It was awesome, drank some wine, ate some sweets, mingled with people, and ate dinner near Resorts world. Anyway, here is another update on my character, now I did a blocking pass in Zbrush so I could see if my concept sketch works in 3D too. I'm not so sure how it turned out, especially the hair looks kinda bad. I did a little tweak on the placement of the weapons to make the design more believable in terms of functionality--as suggested by my mentor/master Jefferson Estrabinio. :))

Hi! so here is an update on my character! I made a quick sketch of how I think my character would basically look like, and the silhouette it forms. It's supposed to be a parrot, but I hope it's obvious to the viewers too. :)

"These femme fatales descend from the Eridanus Supervoid, a dark matterless 

sector of deepspace and ransack mining outposts for Helium3, equipment and 

machinery. Because of their harsh living conditions they often have 

artificial limbs and support themselves on whatever they can steal. They've 

just begun an attack one the of the largest Helium3 outposts in the system,

Hi guys! I decided to join this May 2012 Mixamo's contest, and the challenge was to create a game-ready character according to the specifications that they gave out for the contestants.

I chose to create the void pirate because it had to be female, and I really haven't tried creating a female character before. 

Here is the a comp of images I got from the web that I will use as references/pegs/inspiration for my work.
